Black Friday is SHIT.

I AM team Lil' Kim, but i'm not a fake stan just kissing her pussy to keep her sweet. I just listened to Black Friday, and i'm disappointed. there's no fire in it. i know it's only a mixtape, but you gotta give your fans a reason to hold their breath. i hope this isn't going to be a taste of what's to come. Here's why:
-ONE verse per song isn't enough. I want to see you work! what am i paying for?
-Stretching out the singing when you're not a singer and using autotune is for dummies.
-Having everyone else ALL OVER your music while you remain an accessory is NOT cool, even for mixtape standards. If you were that good, you'd be able to put out 17 good tracks all by yourself without losing steam. i buy your albums to hear YOU, not your whole crew.
-i can't even do a track by track review because i either don't remember them, or don't want to listen to them again. be selective with your producers, and look at Hard Core, La Bella Mafia and The Naked Truth as inspiration and fuck everything that's going on now. forget the 'in' people, the trends, the producers, get into a zone, and do YOU.

I want Lil' Kim to see this. i believe she does have it in her still, and you can hear echoes of it in some of the tracks here, however, it's very...coffee break. I hope she gives herself enough time and effort to put out a proper album after this, because so far, i think each of her albums have been strong efforts, each in their own way.
People have lost their minds, and music quality has gone down, but the dummies won't know that unless you step up and show them what's good. the people who know good music are waiting. if Kim, and others don't sort it out, we'll have to either give up hope and succumb to shit, or stay listen to everything that used to be.

Lil' Kim, CALL ME!!!

smooch

and no, i'm not posting a link to it. that's how much i don't believe in it.

hey sweetie! If I have to choose, I'm team Nicki, sorry, and yeah, what I've heard from that mixtape doesn't sound all that inspired. Plus that cheap-ass music video? No.
